12/10/2008 - West Bromwich, England (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - West Bromwich Albion have recalled striker Craig Beattie from his loan spell with Crystal Palace due to the knee injury suffered by Ishmael Miller at the weekend.

Beattie had impressed in scoring five goals in 15 appearances for the Eagles, but now heads back to The Hawthorns to challenge the likes of Luke Moore and Roman Bednar for a starting spot.

Baggies boss Tony Mowbray is hopeful that both Moore and Bednar will make the most of the opportunity presented by Miller's misfortune.

He said: "Ishmael's injury will give Luke Moore and Roman Bednar an opportunity to push themselves forward.

"Lads who feel they should be playing more football will probably now get an opportunity. Let's hope one of them comes to the fore and scores some goals."
